New Trend: Conditioner Before Shampoo

As the new trend emerges, many are beginning to condition their hair before using a shampoo. Hair-care companies have advised the public to switch from their regular routine to be part of this new trend. However, Vivi disagrees with this concept.

"It's important to always use shampoo before using your conditioner," Vivi said. "Shampoo is meant to cleanse your hair of impurities. If you don't cleanse first, you will be conditioning dirty hair."

For those with oily hair, Vivi suggests to use less conditioner. Instead of applying from the roots to the ends as you do with shampoo, apply conditioner only on your ends. This will allow your hair to be less oily in between washes. It's also important to make sure you rinse your conditioner out properly to avoid build-up.

While shopping for shampoos and conditioners, take a look at the ingredients listed on the label. Avoid buying products containing harmful chemicals such as sulfates. Look for products containing organic ingredients and nutrients.

"A good shampoo and conditioner to use is Saphira," Vivi said. "It has 26 minerals from the Dead Sea and contains keratin. If you're worried about weighing your hair down or nourishing chemically treated hair, this is the shampoo and conditioner for you."
